This app is a thermometer that displays indoor and outdoor temperature in both Celsius and Fahrenheit.

INDOOR thermometer:

The indoor temperature is obtained from the built-in phone temperature sensor, known as the ambient temperature sensor. However, not all devices are equipped with this sensor. In such cases, the app utilizes the sensor of the device's electronic subassembly, such as the phone battery. Please note that this temperature may differ from the actual ambient air temperature. To obtain the most accurate reading, it is recommended to leave your phone untouched for at least an hour. The best time to check the temperature is right after waking up, when your phone has not been used throughout the night. Additionally, the app provides a calibration menu to further improve accuracy. To calibrate the inside temperature displayed by the app, you can compare it with the reading from a real thermometer placed inside the room.

OUTDOOR thermometer:

The outdoor temperature is obtained from a weather web service. To determine your position and retrieve accurate outside temperature data, the app requires access to your phone's location. The app sends your coordinates to an online weather service, which then searches for the nearest weather stations and provides real-time outdoor temperature.

Why does the app need access to my device's location?

In order to accurately check and display the outside temperature, the app needs to know your current position.

Why does the app need access to the internet?

In order to retrieve outdoor temperature data from the nearest weather station, the app needs to send requests to an online weather service.
